POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – The only gas station in Pound Ridge – the Shell station on Westchester Avenue – was unable to pump gas Thursday afternoon, so residents have to go out of town to fuel up.

Supervisor Gary Warshaurer said New Canaan and Stamford in Connecticut have power and gas stations there are in business. Stations in Mount Kisco, he said, are also pumping gas.

“Route 172 is clear and people can take that all the way to Mount Kisco,” he said. “Also, if people can get to Westchester Avenue, they can take that right into New Canaan.”
