What's Happening in Lewisboro-Pound Ridge This Weekend

Residents of the Pound Ridge/Lewisboro area will not want for anything to do this weekend. There is a wide variety of activities on tap – from classical music concerts to stand-up comics to Easter egg hunts.

Friday

- Fun With Music at Pound Ridge Library, 11 a.m.

The library presents “Fun With Music” featuring Laura D'Amico. This event is a music program for children five and under. There is no fee, but registration is required. Call the library at 914-764-5085. The library is located at 179 Westchester Ave. in Pound Ridge

- Paula Poundstone in Concert, 8 p.m.

The renowned comedienne brings her act to the Ridgefield Playhouse. Poundstone is a frequent guest of NPR’s “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!” Tickets are $58. Call 203-438-5795. The Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge Road in Ridgefield, Conn.

Saturday

- South Salem Nursery School Open House, 9:30 a.m.

The school will hold an open house and invites parents to come and find out more about its teachers and programs. Guitarist Annie Grille will be on hand to perform. The school is located at the South Salem Presbyterian Church, 111 Main St., in South Salem.

- Lewisboro Library Technology and You Workshop, 11 a.m.

Learn how to use the library catalog to download free audiobooks and eBooks onto compatible digital devices. Stop by or call the library to register at 914-763-3857. The library is located at 15 Main St. in South Salem.

- Easter Egg Hunt and Scramble at Pound Ridge Elementary, 11 a.m.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will be an egg decorating contest co-sponsored by Scotts Corner Market. The school is located at 7 Pound Ridge Road in Pound Ridge. Call the Recreation Department for more information at (914) 764-0947.

- Maple Syrup Tasting, 1 p.m.

Celebrate the end of another sugaring season with tasting, toasting, music and more at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation's Trailside Nature Museum, co-sponsored by Friends of Trailside Nature Museum. The event is free. For more information, call (914) 864-7322. The Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge is located at the intersection of Routes 35 and 121 in Cross River.

- John Jay High School Theater Workshop Presents “Guys & Dolls,” 7 p.m.

The school performs its annual spring musical – the classic show that spawned the song, “Luck be a Lady.” Tickets are $10 and on sale 45 minutes prior to show time. The show is at John Jay High School, 60 North Salem Road in Cross River.

- The Linden String Quartet in Concert, 8 p.m.

Caramoor presents a concert by The Linden String Quartet. The Quartet is Caramoor's 2011-12 Ernst Stiefel String Quartet-in-Residence and currently the Graduate String Quartet-in-Residence at the Yale School of Music. Sunday

- “Color of Light” Exhibit at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, 10 a.m.

This is an exhibition by White Plains artist and teacher and Susan Stillman. The exhibit features paintings that reflect Stillman's fascination with the transformative effect of light and color on ordinary scenes. Admission to the exhibit is free, parking is $5 with a permit, $10 without one. Call (914) 864-7317 for more information.
