What to Do Around Pound Ridge This Weekend

The Lewisboro/Pound Ridge area has many events this weekend. The Lewisboro Library’s winter/spring Folk Concert Series concludes with a performance by Carolann Solebello and The YaYas, and the Pound Ridge Theater wraps up its production of “Collected Stories” at Conant Hall. There are also kid-friendly events and exhibits for art aficionados.

Friday

Fun With Music at Pound Ridge Library, 11 a.m. The library presents “Fun with Music” featuring Laura D’Amico, a music program for children ages 5 and under. There is no fee, but registration is required. Call the library at 914-764-5085. The library is at 179 Westchester Ave., in Pound Ridge.

Lewisboro Library Presents “Make Way for Ducklings," 2 p.m. Bird enthusiast Paulette Ciotti and Judy Dunn, author of “The Little Duck,” will present a program that features live ducklings, information about ducks, and a craft for children ages 3-6. Lewisboro Library’s Common Ground Folk Series Concert, 8 p.m. The Folk Series presents Carolann Solebello and The YaYas. Solebello is the founding member of the trio Red Molly and returned to solo work in 2010. The YaYas are a New York-based folk-pop trio who tell stories through song. Ridgefield Playhouse Presents Jane Monheit, 8 p.m. Jane Monheit is a jazz vocalist whose romantic songs have made her a favorite in the jazz and cabaret worlds. She is a two-time Grammy-nominated artist and has collaborated with artists such as Michael Buble, Ivan Lins, Terence Blanchard and Tom Harrell. Collins, who is accompanied on piano by DiMeo, has recorded with starts such as Roberta Flack, Sting, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Sheryl Crow and Faith Hill. All Weekend

“Color of Light” Art Exhibit at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, 9 a.m.- 4p.m. This is an exhibition by White Plains artist and teacher and Susan Stillman. The exhibit features paintings that reflect Stillman's fascination with the transformative effect of light and color on ordinary scenes. The Color of Light” will be on view daily through June 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Gallery in the Park. Admission to the exhibit is free; parking is $5 with a permit, $10 without one.
