POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – With Halloween approaching, there are plenty things to do in the area with ghostly themes. However, if ghouls and goblins aren’t your thing, check out a concert at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Here’s a brief guide of things to do in the Pound Ridge area this weekend:

Ziggy Marley will perform at the Ridgefield Playhouse at 80 East Ridge in Ridgefield, Conn., on Friday, Oct. 28.  The singer/songwriter, known for his reggae-influenced music is known for hits such as “Tomorrow People.” Tickets are $68.50 and are available at the Ridgefield Playhouse website, www.ridgefieldplayhouse.com.

The Pound Ridge Library will hold at Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 11 p.m. Come in costume. There will be a costume parade, pumpkin decorating judging and an appearance by the library witch as well as refreshments. Call the library for more info at 914-764-5085.

The Fox Lane Players will present the 2011 Haunted House at the Mary Lou Meese Theater on the Fox Lane Campus this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for their annual Halloween celebration. This year’s house will revel in the many phobias that make you sweat, squirm and shake. What are you really afraid of? Spiders? Snakes? Operating rooms? Clowns? Crowds? Heights? Enclosed spaces?
