POUND RIDGE, N.Y. Pound Ridge police said they made two arrests this past week for marijuana possession.
On Thursday, Jan. 26, police were called to Salem Road on a trespassing complaint. They arrested Mario D. Cipri, 55, of Essex, Vt., and charged him with trespassing. When he was taken into custody, police said they discovered Cipri to be in possession of marijuana and was subsequently charged. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Feb. 6.
On Friday, Jan. 27, police observed a car parked on the side of High Ridge Road. Officers interviewed the driver and while doing so, said they observed smoke inside the car and detected the order of marijuana. A search of the car turned up a marijuana cigarette under the passengers seat.
Police then arrested a 16-year-old from Stamford, Conn. The subject is considered a youthful offender and no name was given. The subject was released into his fathers custody and is due back in court on Feb. 16.

Police issued a traffic ticket to a motorist on Westchester Avenue for not wearing a seat belt.
Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Dann Farm Road. Police interviewed the driver who showed proper ID. No further problems were reported.
Police issued a ticket to a motorist on High Ridge Road for having an unregistered vehicle.
Police received a report of a loose dog on Deerfield Road. The dog was located and transported to the Pound Ridge veterinarian. The owner was contacted and picked up the dog.
A car collided with a deer on Pound Ridge Road. There were no injuries but the deer was killed and removed from the scene. No towing was required.
Police received a report of criminal mischief on Westchester Avenue. A car owner reported damage to the vehicle while it was parked. There was a long scratch on the drivers side passenger door.
Police gave a motorist a ticket for going 55 mph in a 40 mph zone on Pound Ridge Road.
Police gave two different motorists on Westchester Avenue tickets for expired inspection stickers.
