After a morning of twisting wire around evergreen boughs, cones and red berries, members sat down to a luncheon at Conant Hall to celebrate their 2013 achievements.

An array of awards was bestowed on selected members for outstanding horticulture and design.

All told, some 75 swags and 25 wreaths were completed. The decoration project undertaken by the garden club is a tradition that goes back to 1975.

The swags go on signposts on all the major roads in town and the wreaths are donated to the Town House, police station, library, Conant Hall, and other places.
