"It was a great success!" declared a followup announcement, which was sent via the town's email newsletter.
The success came, the announcement noted, despite having to postpone the drive from Sunday to Monday, which was done due to inclement weather.
Additionally, the announcement added, more than 50 bakers donated goods including cookies, and that 20 volunteers delivered gifts to seniors. A "handful' of volunteers were on hand at Conant Hall to receive gifts prior the delivery, according to the announcement.
Project Pound Ridge Cupid is organized by residents every year and coincides with the week of Valentine's Day.
Several local organizations also helped out this year, the announcement notes. They included students at Pound Ridge Elementary School, who made Valentine's Day Cards; PRCC, which also made cards; the Pound Ridge Police Benevolent Association, which gave stress balls; the Pound Ridge Women's Republican Club, which gave candy; Nehapwa Design, which gave a rose for each senior; and Booksy Galore, which gave cards.
