POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – As of 7 p.m. on Tuesday, New York State Electric & Gas was reporting that 700 Pound Ridge customers had lost their power, likely due to the high winds ushered in by the severe storms moving through the area.
NYSEG has not offered any estimated restoration times.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch, which remains in effect until 11 p.m. throughout Westchester County. It also has issued a wind advisory for Westchester and New York City until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. Winds of up to 50 mph are possible.
