  • A Pound Ridge group says Japanese stiltgrass is spreading throughout Pound Ridge and surrounding towns including South Salem, Lewisboro, Bedford and Mount Kisco and could threaten the local ecosystem.
  • The Invasives Project-Pound Ridge, which seeks to educate residents about stiltgrass and other invasive plants on their property, warned that the grass is "everywhere and still spreading," according to a news release from the group.
  • A profile of a Pound Ridge building inspector also topped the news this week. 
  • “Habitats: Flora and Fauna in Natural Settings,” an exhibition of art by members of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators’ Greater New York Chapter will be on display at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation at the intersection of Routes 35 and 121 South in Cross River through September.
