WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Attorney Jeremiah Frei-Pearson, who has been seeking the Democratic nomination to run for the state Assemblys 93rd District seat and face incumbent Republican Robert Castelli, has announced he will drop out of the race and throw his support behind David Buchwald.
The 93rd District includes the towns of Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle, North Salem, Pound Ridge, Harrison and parts of White Plains.
While I sincerely appreciate the tremendous support Ive received over the past several months from many voters, community leaders and political activists, the goal has always been to ensure a Democratic victory in November, Frei-Pearson said. The best way to do that is to focus all our resources behind a single Democratic candidate and that candidate is David Buchwald. I have campaigned alongside David and Ive been impressed with his strong record of fighting for taxpayers and for government reform. It is my honor to support David in his campaign for the Assembly and I will do everything I can to make sure there is a Democratic victory on Nov. 6.
Buchwald, who is a member of the White Plains Common Council, said he was honored to have Frei-Pearsons support.
I share Jeremiahs ideals of fighting for our children, strengthening our states economy and reforming Albany, and I look forward to working with him and all our supporters to ensure victory on Election Day, he said.
