Bronxville's Concordia Plans Family/Work Policy Forum

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress, will lead a presentation titled “The Boss Lottery: The Economics of America’s Failing Work/Family Policy” at Concordia College’s Sommer Center for Worship and The Performing Arts on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m.

Tanden is a Yale Law School graduate who has served on the Obama and Clinton administrations as well as presidential campaigns and think tanks. Fortune magazine recognized her as one of the Most Powerful Women in Politics.

According to a press release, The Center for American Progress is a bipartisan educational institute that addresses topics such as national security, economic growth and immigration.

“We are looking forward to this unique opportunity to hear from Neera Tanden, a leader in shaping national policy,” said Viji George, Concordia president, in a press release. “Tanden’s expertise is recognized on the world stage, and we are delighted to welcome her to Concordia.” This Jacobson Lecture is named for the late David Jacobson, former Concordia provost and professor of philosophy.
