Bedford Woman Charged in Pound Ridge Burglary

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – The Pound Ridge Police arrested a Bedford woman accused of stealing property from a Pound Ridge home.

Police received a call Saturday morning shortly after midnight from a Pound Ridge resident who reported approximately $9,000 worth of property stolen from the master bedroom. The property included handbags, coins, currency, clutches, necklaces, bracelets and rings.

On Sunday, police charged Alexandra Rubino, 21, of Bedford, with third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.

Police would not disclose the relationship between the suspect and the victim or the victim’s family. They did indicate that the identification of the suspect was developed quickly, which resulted in the recovery of some of the stolen property. Police said they believe additional property was sold in Manhattan and are continuing to investigate if any other individuals were involved in the theft or the sale of the items. Police Chief David Ryan said police hope additional property will be recovered.

Rubino was arraigned in Pound Ridge Justice Court and released on $1,000 bail.
