Enterovirus D68 is a respiratory illness that is transmitted through contact with an infected person or by touching infected surfaces before making contact with the mouth, nose or eyes. Symptoms include fever, runny nose, sneezing, coughing, and body aches.
Overall, 472 confirmed cases of EV-D68 have been confirmed in 41 states and Washington, D.C., LoHud.com said.
