Pound Ridge Theater Company Set to Mark Its Silver Anniversary

POUND RIDGE – The Pound Ridge Theater Company will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a Gala Fundraiser Thursday at Ristorante Lucia in Bedford. The program starts at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a murder mystery and silent auction.

“The Pound Ridge Theater Company is a vital part of our community's culture and artistic make up.” said Sherry Asch of the Pound Ridge Theater Company. “There is no need for people to go down to [New York City] and spend tons of money, when they have Broadway talent in their backyard.”

Vacation packages will be auctioned off during the fundraiser will all proceeds going to the Pound Ridge Theater Company for future performances. Tickets are $70 each, which covers the cost of dinner and wine. Tickets are available only online. To buy tickets, go to www.PRTC01.org.

“The best thing about being a member of the Pound Ridge Theater Company is that everyone involved does this for fun. We don't make money doing this, we have regular day jobs... we just love performing.” said Asch.

The Pound Ridge Theater Group was started in 1986 by Pat and Art Goodman to promote the arts within the community. Today, the theater group is still going strong with several performances a year. Their first performance of the year will starts November 4. They'll continue their crime theme with their adaptation of “Dial 'M' for Murder.”
