Sarandon's immersive reporting series chronicles the refugee crisis as it develops, according to the Huffington Post.

In her latest Huffington Post video, Sarandon holds a small refugee child as she talks about how it affected her to learn firsthand what it was like for mothers with their children and babies -- some as young as 5 days old -- to make the dangerous crossing and what they were leaving behind in their home countries.
