Army National Guard Promotes Soldier From Pound Ridge

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Vincent Zafonte of Pound Ridge has been promoted to the rank of private first class in the New York Army National Guard.

Maj. Gen. Patrick A. Murphy, state adjutant general, announced the promotion in recognition of Zafonte’s capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

Zafonte serves with the Company C, 1-69th Infantry.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability and development potential.
