White Plains Hospital Volunteers Honored For Decades Of Service

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains Hospital recognized more than 100 volunteers Wednesday at their annual volunteer cocktail reception, held at the Woman’s Club of White Plains.

President and CEO Susan Fox, of Larchmont, and Chairman of the Board of Directors Larry Smith, of Scarsdale, honored several volunteers for milestones in their hours and years of service to the organization. Among those honored was longtime volunteer Celeste Vazzana, 99, of Scarsdale, was recognized for her nearly three decades of volunteer service in the Hospital Gift Shop.

Other honorees included Bob Goldsmith of White Plains and Eugenia Poles of Scarsdale, both for 35 years of service. Rosemary Alley of White Plains was recognized for 30 years and Geri Alperin, of Scarsdale was for 25 years of service.

Additional volunteers recognized were:

20 Years of Service - Patricia Douglass of White Plains, Judy Oestreich of Mamaroneck, Louise Shulman of Scarsdale and Susan Yubas of Rye.

5,000 Hours - Annette Cappucci of Scarsdale and Barbara Schwarz of White Plains.
