The Hospital was named highest on the list among Westchester hospitals and #15 both in the state and in the metro area, out of a total of nearly 250 hospitals in New York rated by U.S. News & World Report. This is up from their ranking of #16 and #18, respectively in 2015/2016. The Hospital also received high performance rankings in several key clinical areas: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, heart failure, colon cancer surgery, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery.

“This is a powerful validation of our continuous and very diligent efforts in providing exceptional health care, every day, to the people of our community,” said Dr. Michael Palumbo, Medical Director and Executive Vice President at White Plains Hospital. “As our hospital has grown and our clinical services have expanded alongside our developing partnership with the Montefiore Health System, we are proud to maintain a dedicated focus on quality, safety and positive clinical outcomes, and to be bringing a more advanced level of care to Westchester County.”
