The workshop is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and run through 7:15 p.m.

This workshop is guaranteed to relax participants and create a deep sense of peace. The first half of the class is restorative and meditative, which will prepare the mind and body for Kirtan.

Kirtan is an ancient form of devotional chanting that uses singing with musical instruments to open the heart and mind.

The chants are sung in Sanskrit unless you attend a Sikh kirtan ( e.g. Snatam Kaur). The ancient chants contain powerful renewinga and transformative energy that helps people reconnect with the Divinity that resides within all of us.

In the last ten years, kirtan has become a phenomenon across the United States, and has transformed musically to appeal to the ears of American audiences.
