Monday, Jan. 21

Martin Luther King Day: The national holiday means that all government offices, Bedford Central  School District schools and the Pound Ridge Library will be closed.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

Mom ‘n’ Tots Stories:  10:45 p.m. This Pound Ridge Library event is for children age 2 with a parent or caregiver. Registration is required. Call the library at 914-764-5085. 271 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge

Film Festival: 7:30 p.m. The Pound Ridge Library presents Women Making a Difference – a series of films on inspirational women whose lives have made a difference. Tonight’s feature is “Making Trouble” - the true saga of six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century: Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein. The event is presented in conjunction with the Westchester Region of Hadassah. Light refreshments will be served. 271 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

Board of Education: 8 p.m. The Bedford School Board will hold a meeting at the Fox Lane Middle School’s Little Theater. South Bedford Road Bedford.

Thursday, Jan. 24

Technology Workshop: 11 a.m. The Pound Ridge Library presents a workshop on downloading digital media. Learn how to use the library catalog to download free e-books and audiobooks to a digital device. Registration is required. Let the library know what device you will be using. Cabaret Night: 6 p.m. The Pound Ridge Elementary School will hold a Cabaret Night for grades K-3 at the elementary school. 7 Pound Ridge Road, Pound Ridge.

Mother-Daughter Book Club: 7 p.m. The Pound Ridge Library’s Mother-Daughter Book Club for girls in grades 6-8 and their mothers or guardians will discuss “Pretties” by Scott Westerfield. Library Focus Group: 7 p.m. All Pound Ridge residents are invited to attend the Pound Ridge Library’s community conversation to discuss the library’s future – its programs and facilities.
