Tuesday, Oct. 16

Pound Ridge Garden Club Floral Design Demo: 10:45 a.m. Award-winning floral designer Susan Detjens will give a 75-minute presentation entitled “Holi-dazzle Designs for the Holidays” at the Pound Ridge Library. The public is welcome. 271 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge

Zoning Board of Appeals: 7:30 p.m. The Pound Ridge Zoning Board of Appeals will have its monthly meeting at the Town House. Agenda items include an application to enlarge an existing barn. 179 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge

Bedford Board of Education: 8 p.m. The Bedford school board will have a meeting at the Fox Lane Middle School VPA office. 632 S. Bedford Road, Bedford

Thursday, Oct. 18

Turbo Tour Music Program:  7 p.m. Bedford School District student musicians will take the Fox Lane High School stage to perform with Mark Wood as part of his 2012-13 Turbo Tour. A composer and performer, Wood will meet and rehearse with more than 200 students from the district’s middle and high school strings programs before the show. He is a nationally acclaimed, Juilliard-trained electric violinist who tours the country with his upbeat strings and music education programs. The event is free. 632 S. Bedford Road, Bedford.

Friday, Oct. 19

Watch It at the Library:  10:30 a.m. The Pound Ridge Library will show the movie “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” Bring lunch; beverages will be provided. The event is sponsored by the Neighbor to Neighbor program. 271 Westchester Ave., Pound Ridge
