The trust is hoping that with the help of enough volunteers they will be able to plant redbud trees and sunflowers where only turf grass once grew. The planting, from 9 a.m.. to 4 p.m. Thursday, is the first phase of a landscape design plan created by the trust's landscape architecture intern, Mike Kaminski, in the summer of 2014.

The design will introduce a variety of native species to the property as well as beautify the roadside entrance. Over 150 plants will be planted!

The work will include digging holes, moving plant material, planting, mulching, and watering.

Sugar Hill Farm is on Harris Road, Bedford Hills. Please park your vehicle in the rear parking lot.(Drive past the large white farmhouse - which will be on your left - and take your first left turn into the rear lot.)
