SOMERS, N.Y. – The main house at Somers’ Lasdon Park and Arboretum will be open to visitors on Sept. 16 beginning at 2 p.m.

This is a rare opportunity for a peek inside the handsome home, originally known as Cobbling Brook Farm and owned by pharmaceutical giant and philanthropist William Lasdon. The house and property, now owned by the Westchester County Parks Department, were featured in the 1987 Michael J. Fox film, “The Secret of My Success.”

Sunday’s guided tours will be led by Lasdon horticulturist Tolly Beck. Admission and parking are free, but reservations are required.

To reserve a place on the tour, call 914-864-7263. The 234-acre park is on Route 35 in Somers. See the website for more information.
