Pound Ridge Lions Club Opens Annual Pumpkin Patch

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – It’s Halloween season again, and time to pick out that perfect pumpkin and carve your scariest jack-o-lantern.

The pumpkin patch at Lions Park in Scotts Corners is well-populated with all sizes of pumpkins, ready to decorate your home for Halloween, as well as Thanksgiving.

The pumpkin sale is a major fundraiser for the Pound Ridge Lions Club. Children can come to the park and choose their own special pumpkin from the garden. The patch is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For those who cannot get there during those hours, prices are posted, and a donation box is located at the corner of Lions Park.

All money that the Lions Club brings in through its pumpkin sales goes to projects supported by the organization, including scholarships to honor students for community service. Proceeds also go to the Mount Kisco Hospital-Lions Nursing Scholarship, the NY State Lions Camp for Disabled Children, the NY Vacation Camp for the Blind, Guiding-Eye Dog training, the Lions International Fight against Blindness, the Lions International “School in a Box” program, and the Lions International Third World Water Project.
