Pound Ridge Historical Society To Host Civil War Talk

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. — The Pound Ridge Historical Society will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War with a talk on Saturday, Feb. 21, and Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Pound Ridge Public Library, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on both days.

Ed Isaacs, whose great-great-grandfather Sgt. George E. Dixon served in the war, will speak and show off Dixon's diary, along with a replica of the feared Lilly-Irons handcuffs. 

The library is located at 271 Westchester Ave. in Pound Ridge.
