Pound Ridge Celebrates Season With Annual Tree Lighting

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- For 13 years, residents of Pound Ridge have gathered for the annual Christmas Tree lighting held at Scotts Corners , and this year, it happens on Saturday.

The event is from 4 to 6 p.m. in the transformed holiday wonderland of Scotts Corners, thanks to the Pound Ridge Business Association. 

The event starts at 4:15 p.m. at the Pound Ridge School of Dance where the students will hold a short performance. Then follow the crowd to the Pound Ridge General Store for a reading of the classic "'Twas the Night Before Christmas". 

After enjoying the reading, stroll to the Annual Tree Lighting at 5 P.M. at the Pound Ridge Firehouse and caroling led by Peter Molinvermi. Hot and cold refreshments. 

Children of all ages are encouraged to head over to the firehouse to wait for Santa Claus to come before the tree lighting.
