Lewisboro Library Seeks Volunteers For 55th Annual Fair

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – The 55th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held rain or shine Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Onatru Farm Town Park, 99 Elmwood Road, South Salem.

The fair highlight is the book sale, and will also feature “Attic Treasures” and toy sales, a silent auction, food, music, vintage cars, kids’ games, a variety of specialty vendors and a visit from the animals of the New Canaan Nature Center.

The book and toy pre-sale is Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5-9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 25 from 9-5 p.m. The pre-sale is free for residents of Lewisboro. Non-residents must pay $20 on Thursday night only. There will also be an after-sale of books and attic treasures Sunday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All proceeds go directly into the library’s operating budget, which funds new materials and programs to benefit the entire community.

The library is looking for volunteers both before and on fair day. If available to help collect donations at Onatru Saturday mornings Aug. 29 and Sept. 12, or work at the book pre-sale or fair, click here to sign up at or sign up at the library.

The Library Fair has a limited number of vendor spaces for small businesses for $80. Spaces are also available free of charge to community organizations. click here for vendor applications and community applications.

Donations of books, toys and items for the Fair’s Attic Treasures Tag Sale will be accepted Saturdays, Aug. 29 and Sept. 12. from 10 a.m. to noon.
