POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Being “body smart” means a lot more than just knowing about your day-to-day health habits, says Dr. Steven D’Ambroso, who will address the topic Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Pound Ridge Library.
D’Ambroso, director of Bedford Access Physical Therapy & Wellness, will conduct a 6:30 p.m. seminar on injury prevention and healing for young and old alike.
D’Ambroso, who has a background in martial arts and a particular interest in sports injuries and healing, worked at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, where he specialized in such areas as traumatic brain injuries and knee and hip replacement therapy.
Topics the seminar will address include sports smarts for children and teens, posture and lifting habits, stretching before exercise and workplace safety.
Light refreshments will be served at the event.
Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
