An Energize Mount Kisco volunteer will be on hand to answer questions about home energy assessments and assist through the application process on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Assessments are free for households with a total income of less than $215,800 and are offered at a reduced cost for others.
Call 914-302-7300 to make an appointment. Bring your electric bill and a copy of a recent fuel bill to the workshop.
By combining equipment maintenance and upgrades with recommended insulation and air sealing measures, you can cut your energy use and reduce environmental emissions from 20 to 50 percent.
Energy escapes through hidden holes between walls, and in the basement and attic. You can find out where these holes are and how to close them with a comprehensive home energy assessment.
