Complex Storm System Expected To Bring Snow, Rain To Bridgeport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Although Fairfield County will be dealing with warmer-than-normal temperatures as we close out February, the National Weather Service is keeping an eye on a storm system that will affect weather overnight Tuesday through Wednesday.

Current tracking is uncertain because the system is a few days away, so the type of precipitation expected and any accumulation is unknown at this point.

For Monday, light rain is likely with continued cloudy skies.The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Tuesday will start out mostly sunny, with a high near 44. But Tuesday night brings a chance of rain, snow, and freezing rain before midnight, then rain. 

Temperature will fall to near 34 degrees by 8 p.m., then rising to around 43 degrees during the remainder of the night. 

The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Little or no ice or snow accumulation is expected.

Wednesday will be rainy before 4 p.m., with a chance of rain and snow later. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent, but with little or no snow accumulation expected.

Another storm system due to arrive Thursday night could bring snow to the area Thursday night into Friday.
