Darien Rowayton Bank Exhibits Work Of Hometown Artist

DARIEN, Conn. -- Rowayton Bank in Darien will be displaying the artwork of two local artists, Lynne Tiano and Sharon Krejcir throughout the month of November.

The bank will also host a Wine & Cheese reception on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. It is free and open to the public. 

Tianois a native of Darien and received her art education at LaSalle College in Boston and continued her studies with local artist Robert Krouskoff. She has taught art at St. Luke’s Parish for the Children’s Ministry and has exhibited her artwork in juried shows at the Greenwich Art Society, Darien Art Council, Silvermine School of Arts and Orpheus in San Francisco. 

Krejcir finds inspiration and beauty in everyday objects, particularly fruits and vegetables. She received her bachelor of fine arts from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, she studied with Edward DeVoe, Alain Picard and Richard Stalter. She is a member of the Society of Creative Artists in Newtown. Her work has been exhibited in juried shows in Darien, Rowayton, and Newtown. Sharon lives in Sandy Hook with her chef husband, two children, and an enormous vegetable garden.
