Greenwich Teen Gets Three Podiums At Vermont Ski Championships

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Olivia Holm, 14, of Old Greenwich was recently named Vermont's Under 16 Giant Slalom Champion at the U16 Vermont State Alpine Championships.

The five-day series was held at Okemo Mountain Resort, Killington Mountain Resort and Sugarbush Resort. Out of a field of 118, Holm won the Giant Slalom race held at Okemo Mountain Resort on Feb. 21. Holm took seventh place in the slalom event held on Feb. 27 and she was third place for both the giant slalom and super-G races held on Feb. 28 at Sugarbush. 

For her performance, Holm was awarded third place in the series and was named the overall Giant Slalom Champion. She will advance to the U16 Eastern Regional championships to be held March 10 to 15 at Sugarloaf, Maine. Holm attends high school at the Stratton Mountain School located in Stratton, Vermont.
