POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – Pound Ridge will celebrate America’s 237th birthday on July 6, with the town’s annual Fireworks Spectacular at the Pound Ridge Town Park.

Shuttle buses will take residents from the Pound Ridge Elementary School to the park starting at 5 p.m. and back again after the event. The rain date is July 7.

The Pound Ridge Boy Scouts Troop 1, will be manning the barbecues, selling burgers, hotdogs, snacks and soft drinks at very affordable prices. As usual, the ingredients and supplies will be provided by the Scotts Corner Market and all earnings will go to the troop.

Scout Steven Baronti, Jr. will also be selling glow sticks and other festive novelties in order to raise funds for his Eagle Scout project, namely a kiosk to benefit The Armstrong House, home of the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy.

Earlier in the day, Pound Ridge’s 17th Annual Town-Wide Yard Sale will be going full-blast in the area around Scotts Corners’ Antiques & Tools of Business & Kitchen, at 65 Westchester Ave.

The sale actually begins on July 5 and will continue through July 7. In addition to the home-based yard sale set-ups, a number of vendors have signed up for space.
