Ross will display her watercolor work in an exhibit titled "Capturing Images, Life's Tour" at the library through June 28. The library will host a special opening reception at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 17.

Ross is a former art teacher in the Chappaqua School District. Her works have been shown in Connecticut at The Carriage Barn in New Canaan, The Ridgefield Guild of Artists in Ridgefield, The Ridgefield Library, Founders Hall, Silvermine and in South Salem at Onatru. Many of her pieces are in private collections.

Pattern, color, light, and composition come together in her work, depicting meaningful images viewed in her everyday life, according to the release.

“I view images in everyday life traveling through seasons, interacting with friends, family, critters, natural flora and edibles, objects of interest. My visual and emotional reaction inspires my palette and develops my interpretation," Ross said. "Here in Westchester / Connecticut and when I travel, the images I capture both sketching and photographing…those that resonate for me, have given me the impetus to produce this body of work. I hope they make life lighter for you, produce a smile, or a connection, a concern.”
