Westchester Residents Rank High On Forbes' New Top 400 List

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Several business moguls with ties to Westchester County ranked high on Forbes Magazine's recent list of billionaires.

Former Dobbs Ferry resident, Ardsley High School student and White Plains native Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook was the wealthiest Westchester native with a net worth of $40.3 billion, good for seventh overall. 

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who owns an estate in North Salem, was just behind Zuckerberg, clocking in at a net worth of $38.6 billion. The former mayor's accrued wealth made him the eighth richest man on the planet, Forbes said.

Billionaire investor George Soros of Katonah checks in at No. 17 overall with a net worth of $24.5 billion. Another Bedford resident, financier Nelson Peltz, is 358th overall at $1.9 billion.

Scarsdale hedge-fund CEO Daniel Och is No. 171 overall with a $3.5 billion net worth. Another Scarsdale investor, David Siegel, is 234th overall at $2.8 billion.

Pocantico Hills resident David Rockefeller Sr. is 211 overall at $3 billion.

Croton-on-Hudson's Thomas Secunda is tied for 358th overall at $1.9 billion.

Republican Presidential candidate and Bedford estate owner Donald Trump was valued at $4.5 billion. Trump took umbrage with the valuation, saying his net worth was upwards of $11.5 billion, according to Fortune
