POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – For wine lovers in Pound Ridge, checking out some new vintages just got a little more interesting.
For the second time in two weeks, Mariela’s Wine & Espresso Bar will hold a unique wine tasting, pairing the libations with an eclectic menu of slider sandwiches.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Last week, the wine bar held a tasting that paired wines with different types of grilled cheese sandwiches.
“We had so much fun with the wine and grilled cheese tasting, I thought we’d try another,” said Alex Rubeo, Mariela’s general manager.
The event will pair four different wines with four types of sliders: shrimp po’ boy with remoulade; seared ahi tuna with wasabi mayo; barbecued pulled pork; and Kobe beef with blue cheese.
The wines at the tasting will be available at a discounted price to those who attend.
