Refreshments were severed by a pair of fellow local merchants: KR Cafe and Katonah Wine & Liquor.

“I'm really happy that we're able to celebrate with our customers," said owner Laura Marks, who opened the stationery store with her husband, Barry in 1995.

Over the years, Fine Lines has been located at multiple places in downtown Katonah, according to a history roundup sent out before the celebration.

Its first location was at 159 Katonah Ave., which is now the site of & James, a clothing store for children. The store moved to its current location in 1999 but was temporarily displaced by damage from Hurricane Floyd, the overview adds. A temporary location elsewhere in Katonah was used for about six months, Marks recalled.

In 2014, tragedy came when Marks' husband passed away; she attributes getting a lot of help to managing the store since then.

Fine Lines has also done several things to modernize, Marks said, which includes an updated website and using social media. Marks also noted that her store is attracting newer customers.

Marks also discussed how there have been long relationships with customers, as Fine Lines has been involved in important life events ranging from birth announcements to bar mitzvahs.

Fine Lines is located at 141 Katonah Ave. Its website is available here.
