Heads Up, Westchester: Facebook, Instagram Outages Reported Worldwide

Users worldwide have been unable to access Facebook and Instagram on Wednesday.

Some say they were unable to log in to one or both of the popular social media sites. others said they experienced a total blackout, according to downdetector.com.

Problems with Facebook began around 8:20 a.m., and with Instagram at around 11 a.m.

Twitter has not experienced any outages, but users have tweeted about Facebook and Instagram.

No reason for the issues at either Facebook or Instagram have yet been given. Facebook acquired Instagram in 2012 for $1 billion.
